Pavel Sharomov – Bass
He graduated from the Novosibirsk State Conservatory of Music
where he studied with professor Pevzner. From 1996-1999 he was
engaged in teaching at the choral and conducting faculty of the
Novosibirsk State Conservatory of Music. Pavel is the director
of two singing groups: the Sharomov Vocal Ensemble founded in
1992, and the Markel Voices, founded in 2000. As a soloist he
has performed music by Bortnyanski, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Buxtehude
and Brahms. As a conductor Pavel has taken part in many grand
musical projects, such as Bach’s Magnificat, Handel’s
Messiah, and Mozart’s Requiem and Piccolomini Mass. Within
the framework of the program “New Names,” he conducted
master classes in Suzdal in 1999-2000.
